MEGAbolite® libraries contain only pure and non-redundant Natural Product
small molecule compounds with full structures disclosed,
which are deployed by research oriented clients in their screening programs.
Natural Products generally exhibit enormous structural and chemical diversity, showing scaffolds which cannot be achieved by synthetic chemistry and oftentimes containing privileged drug-like structures as well as many other moieties. MEGAbolite® libraries open up access to this chemical diversity. Since MEGAbolite® libraries are delivered as pure compounds in ready-to-screen formats, problems related to the traditional extract screening are avoided.
MEGAbolite® libraries consist of secondary metabolites from plants or microorganisms, either produced from client´s biomaterial collections for his use or from AnalytiCon Discovery´s own collection. The production process is based on the proprietary MEGAbolite® technology, representing a highly automated production process and thus delivering pure natural libraries at reasonable costs.
MEGAbolite® libraries exhibit an excellent novelty rate, due to the rigorous selection of those biomaterials being the most productive and showing the highest diversity, for further processing by means of a Chemodiversity Profiling step. In general, more than 40% of plant derived and over 60% of microbial compounds are novel.
AnalytiCon Discovery offers MEGAbolite® libraries as off-the-shelf products, but also as projects tailored to our customer´s specifications.
